Transparent Fish

, Thursday, February 26

These deep sea fish have got to be the coolest things ever! Researchers at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Institute recently solved the half-century old mystery of these fish with tubular eyes and transparent heads.

These fish have eyes that can rotate within their transparent heads and allow them to pear up at potential prey or focus forward to see what they are eating. Yes, I said transparent heads, we can see insides their heads! Wow, they are totally amazing.
