The Sketchbook Project: 2011

"Art House projects are a way to inspire artists to create artwork – whether they are professional artists or just starting out. All of our projects are open to everyone. Find some projects that interest you, sign up, and get creative. Most projects have an exhibition at our home base in Brooklyn, NY. Everyone who participates and sends back their work are included in the exhibitions."

The sketchbook project consists of thousands of sketchbooks submitted to be exhibited at galleries and museums as they make their way on tour across the country.

After the tour, all sketchbooks will enter into the permanent collection of The Brooklyn Art Library, where they will be barcoded and available for the public to view.

Sign up by Oct. 31st 2010 to get your sketchbook in the tour. You choose a theme from their list and they send you a sketchbook to fill out and send back before January 15, 2011.
